Strengthening Lives: Unleashing the Power of Fitness with HEMSB
India stands as one of the fastest-growing economies globally, boasting a population of over 1.2 billion. However, a staggering 75% of our populace grapples with Vitamin Deficiency, largely due to poor nutritional practices and insufficient awareness.
In response to the escalating prevalence of lifestyle ailments like ischemic heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), stroke, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease, the Garuda Group spearheaded the “#Healthy Eat Makes Strong Bharat Movement,” dedicated to fortifying the health of our nation.
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and cancer have emerged as leading causes of mortality, with a notable correlation to inadequate dietary habits. Statistics from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) indicate that one in four Indians faces heightened risks of succumbing to NCDs.
Our nation has earned the dubious distinction of being labeled the world capital of diabetes by the International Diabetic Federation. The diabetic population is projected to surge to nearly 80 million by 2030, with urban areas bearing a substantial brunt.
India’s cancer burden ranks second globally, with dietary factors playing a pivotal role. High-fat, low-fiber diets, coupled with tobacco and alcohol dependencies, elevate cancer susceptibility, particularly among urban dwellers.
Yet, the World Cancer Research Fund underscores that a diet abundant in fruits, vegetables, and low-fat foods can mitigate breast cancer risks significantly.
Nutritional deficiencies manifest in various alarming symptoms like hair loss, premature aging, mental distress, joint ailments, and weakened immunity. Addressing these concerns through informed dietary choices can avert prolonged suffering and promote holistic well-being.
Join us in championing fitness and nutrition awareness, as together, we pave the path toward a healthier, resilient Bharat.
